GHS Wolf with cochlear implant

Cherry Creek School District’s high school center-based program for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is located at Grandview High School. This program provides additional services for students such as: Authorized Educational Sign Language Interpreters, additional service time with the teacher of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (ToD), one-on-one or small group instruction, socialization opportunities, American Sign Language (ASL) classes, etc.

CCSD’s Center-Based Deaf and Hard of Hearing program has an excellent support system for students who are deaf and hard of hearing and staff.  Each classroom and lecture center has been wired with a “speech sound intelligibility system” allowing all students to have access to what is being said no matter where they are in the room.  Additionally, this does not set students apart yet it is a benefit for everyone at Grandview High School.  The DHH team at Grandview consists of students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Educational Sign Language Interpreters, and the Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

The purpose of this website is to provide a setting to share and educate others on ASL and the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing. This site consists of: Current Events, Goal of the Month, Student work (art, videos, etc.), Meet the Staff, Student Blog, and Learning More. "We are all Wolves"!
